Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Blueprint-Tech Limited (KeyCal+, we, us, or our) handles information when you use the KeyCal+ iOS app and calculator keyboard extension (the Service).
By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
Overview
Your calculations, messages, and notepad drafts are not uploaded to our servers.
Most data stays on your iPhone.
We do not use third-party ad networks, analytics SDKs, or cross-app tracking.
After a 30-day Pro trial, free-tier = inserts may include a short on-device promotional line (not third-party advertising). Pro (lifetime) removes it.
Information Received
We do not collect or store your calculations, messages, notepad drafts, or similar content on servers operated by Blueprint-Tech Limited.
Customer support. If you email support@blueprint-tech.io, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. You do not need to contact us to use the Service.
On-Device Information
The following are stored and processed only on your iPhone (shared between the app and keyboard extension through Apple’s App Group):
Calculation history
Notepad drafts
Theme, comma-thousands, and result-precision settings
Trial start date and Pro purchase state
Local usage counters
Cached currency exchange rates
We do not receive or store this content on our servers.
Keyboard and Data Access
In other apps. When you use KeyCal+ in Messages, Notes, Mail, or other apps, those apps handle the text you type under their own privacy policies.
What the keyboard reads. For chain math (continuing from a previous result) and for inserting an answer, the keyboard reads text on the current line near the cursor using Apple’s custom-keyboard APIs. It does not read your full message history, contacts, photos, or other apps in the background.
Without Full Access. Basic calculate-and-insert works without Allow Full Access.
With Full Access (optional). If you enable Allow Full Access in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → KeyCal+, the Copy and Paste keys on the SCI panel may access the clipboard only when you tap those keys, and only on your device. We do not receive clipboard contents.
Trial, Free Tier, and Pro
30-day Pro trial. For 30 days from first open, you have full Pro access. Inserts do not include a promotional line.
Free tier. Without a Pro purchase after the trial, the calculator keyboard keeps working; Pro features (such as scientific mode, converters, and unlimited history) are limited. When you tap = to insert into another app, KeyCal+ may append a short, fixed second line on your device (for example — KeyCal+ (free)). This is generated locally, is not behavioral advertising, uses no third-party ad networks, and does not involve selling your personal data or sharing your calculations with advertisers.
Pro (lifetime). One purchase removes the promotional line and unlocks Pro features. Apple processes payment; entitlement is verified on your device through StoreKit. We do not receive payment card details.
Third-Party Exchange Rates
The keyboard extension does not call any exchange-rate API. Only the host app may fetch rates, and only when the on-device cache is stale (about every 12 hours).
Third-party API: Frankfurter — a public foreign-exchange rate service (not affiliated with KeyCal+). Requests include currency codes only—not your calculations, messages, notepad content, Apple ID, or other personal information.
What we store: The JSON response (base currency, rate date, and numeric rates) is cached in the App Group on your iPhone so the keyboard can convert currencies offline until the next refresh.
Frankfurter may log standard web request metadata (such as IP address) under its own policies. See frankfurter.app for their terms and data practices.
In-App Purchases
KeyCal+ Pro lifetime is sold and billed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card information. Apple’s privacy practices are described at apple.com/legal/privacy.
Analytics and Tracking
The Service does not integrate third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking tools.
Data Retention
Support emails are kept only as long as needed to answer your enquiry, typically no longer than twenty-four (24) months, unless law requires longer.
On-device data remains until you delete it in the app, uninstall KeyCal+, or remove the keyboard from iOS Settings.
Frankfurter may retain request metadata related to API calls under its own policies (see frankfurter.app).
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or correct personal data we hold about you. Contact support@blueprint-tech.io.
Because most data stays on your device, you can also delete calculation history or notepad content in the app, uninstall KeyCal+, or remove the keyboard in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Policy Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time and will change the “Last updated” date above. Where required by law, we will give notice of material changes.
